Clomid (CLOMID) CLOMIFENE MARION MERREL DOW composition and form of production: tablets in a box: 10 pcs. 1 tab. clomifen degidrogentsitrat 50 mg
Other ingredients: sucrose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, iron oxide yellow (E 172).
Pharmacological action: antiestrogens drug unsteroids structure. Stimulates ovulation. The exact mechanism of action is unclear. It is assumed that clomifen blocks estrogen in the hypothalamus and the ovaries and, through feedback, enhances secretion of pituitary gonadotrophic hormones, particularly luteinizing hormone. This, in turn, stimulates the maturation and endocrine activity of follicle in the ovary and the subsequent formation and functioning corpus luteum.
The pharmacokinetics of active ingredient Clomid - clomifen - after ingestion is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. After a 5-tidnevnogo use Clomid its cumulative excretion amounted to 50% of the applied dose (with urine - 7.8%, with feces - 42.2%). On 31-35th day of treatment with the urine and feces daily output of 0.73% of the dose, and 42-45th day of treatment - 0.54% respectively. Indications: Stimulation of ovulation in women with infertility due to secondary hypothyroidism ovaries, mainly due to functionality of the hypothalamic-pituitary disorders.
Dosage regimen: Clomid is prescribed in doses of 50 mg 1 time / day (after eating). Duration of treatment was 5 days (from 5 th to the 9th day menstrual cycle). In the absence of the expected effect, approximately 30 days after the first course, a second 5-tidnevny treatment, choosing from 50 mg 2 times / day.
